The STEPS Bible School exists to help people come to a complete understanding of the Gospel — which is nothing less and nothing more than the Person of Jesus Christ Himself.
Our desire is to experience authentic Christianity — to grow in intimacy with Jesus, to reflect His likeness, and to live in the fullness of the Life He gives while sharing that Life with others.

In the Steps of Paul

Travel Week

Midway through the course, you’ll experience a 8-day travel adventure across mainland Greece, tracing the journey of the Apostle Paul.

Highlights
  • Athens: Walk beneath the Acropolis, visit the ancient agora, stand on Mars Hill
  • Corinth: Explore Acrocorinth fortress & the Corinth Canal (bungy jump optional!)
  • Meteora: Visit monasteries perched atop towering rock pillars
  • Thessaloniki & Philippi: See ancient walls, Paul’s prison site & Lydia’s baptistry

Bible School Steps

Who are these programs for?

Christians desiring to grow in their faith as well as those seeking to find and know God.

Mostly north America and some from Europe and other English speaking countries.

Average age is between 19 – 24

Most programs are in English, exclusive groups will run programs in their own languages these being usually Greek or German.

During Spring the days are an average high of 25 deg. Celsius and lows around 20 deg. Celsius.  Spring showers can also be expected however usually not lasting longer than a day or two.

Toiletries and personal effects as well as a beach towel.  Bedding is provided. A more detailed list will be sent which will be more relevant to the particular program you wish to join.

Things you should consider are; Telephone, internet, stationary, postage, toiletries, snacks, sightseeing, souvenirs, laundry, sport & recreational activities as well as travel to and from our center.

It is prefered that guests arrive between 16:00 & 20:00 we start with the evening meal on the day of arrival and finish with breakfast of the last day.  The accomodations should be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure.

Shared Studio apartments with 4 – 6 persons. The have on-suite bathrooms and kitchenette. 

European standard 230 volts, if you bring appliances from North America you may require a voltage transformer and plug adaptor.

This may be possible if arranged prior to arrival.

Our kitchen cannot guarantee it can cope with all that is required for special dietary needs at this point, however, if the cooks are informed of your need they will do whatever possible to help.  You may need to consider supplementing meals with what you need from the local supermarket.

This is now possible at most gift and clothing shops, tavernas, fast food places and kiosks.

You can do this yourself via the internet or get help from your travel agent.  See “useful infos” for details as to how to get to here.

Either Athens or Thessaloniki will work as we are half way between these two.  The closest, however, is the airport on Skiathos island where many international charter flights now fly into and the next closest is just out of Volos.

Thessaloniki or Athens to Volos is approximately a five hour trip by train or bus costing approx. 40 euro.  See www.bahn.de for train info. & www.ktel.org for bus info.  Then the ferry from Volos to Skopelos island is approximately a three hours ride costing approx. 40 euro.

You will need to have your own health and accident insurance cover whilst here.  There are various companies offering travel insurance at low cost, check out the internet or your travel agent.
